The guest speaker Lynn medeiros presented an interest speech. I thought her talk was appealing because she went into detail about how an opinion is an uneducated guess and how facts are something not made up. She also told us how to choose a good argument from a bad one. These facts will help us all later on in life such as polical offilications, religious groups, and soical clubs. That a good argument will have well-delveloped anwsers that derive from eduacation. Education is about taking in the new infomation and throwing out the bad and infomation that doesnt seem to line up. I think that education could be the real back bone from which good decisions or the right decisions are made.
On the other hand i did not agree with her when it came to conviction doesnt make the choice right or not. Im a christian and this information doesnt line up with my briefs, so for me to hear this i was already put this part of her speech down.
In another light i did appreciate the part of her speech where she explained how one should not mix matter of value with matters of fact. A great example would be policitics, where both seem to mix then the country and state have to vote an moral issues rather than simply laws in which to run our country.
Overall it was a interesting and fact related speech. I will discern some of the information to help me in the future in my discision making process. Thanks to our guest speaker Lynn Medeiros.
